During your visit, you’ll be asked about your concerns and any symptoms you may be experiencing, for Dr Ong to understand if further investigations are required. A complete medical history will be obtained to allow for a holistic and thorough evaluation – not just for your gastrointestinal system, but to pick up other areas of concern and to provide you with a holistic management of your healthcare issues.

A physical examination will enable Dr Ong to decide if any further investigations are needed.
Diagnostic tests may be ordered, which can include blood tests, stool samples, and diagnostic imaging tests like X-rays, CT scans, MRIs or ultrasounds. An endoscopy may also be ordered for a more in-depth look into your gastrointestinal tract. Various medications may also be prescribed to treat various conditions of the GI tract and liver.
